MEET THE OWNERS

Tim and Nick Wasmer have been in the landscaping business since 2000. Throughout the past 12 seasons, we’ve been certain to take pride in our work no matter how big or small the task. Our number one goal is to make the client happy. We accomplish this by producing high-quality work at very affordable prices.

Wasmer Bros. LLC is incorporated in the State of Michigan. We also carry property, liability and workman’s compensation insurane. A copy of our certificate of insurance is available upon request.

Our History

Summer 2000:
Nick Wasmer and Drew Roberts started D&N Lawn Service with a couple of their parents’ old lawn mowers. They drove the tractor around Normandy Hills Neighborhood cutting a few lawns, with Nick’s brother, Tim, helping occasionally.
Fall 2000:
After the first year of using this equipment, they saved enough money to purchase their first commercial lawn mower.
2002:
The business continued to grow and eventually Tim joined the business, which became DTN Lawn Service.
Summer 2007:
Drew Roberts removed his ownership in the business.
Tim and Nick incorporated Wasmer Bros. as a limited liabilities company in the State of Michigan.
Today:
Wasmer Bros., LLC offers commercial and residential landscape maintenance services throughout the cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills.Wasmer Bros. LLC also provides landscape design and horticulture consultation to the greater metro Detroit area.

Meet Nick:

Nick grew up in Farmington Hills, graduating from Farmington High School in 2003. Following high school, he continued his education at Kalamazoo College where he would eventually major in biology and minor in business and economics. During his freshman summer, he carried out an externship at River Street Flowerland in Kalamazoo, MI, where he learned about the qualities and needs of many varieties of perennials.

In college, he developed his Spanish skills while spending six months in Ecuador.. During the summer entering his senior year, he carried out an internship at the Horticultural Department of Purdue University. With this research he wrote a senior thesis on The Effects of Sulfur on Growth and Stress Tolerance in Red Maple (Acer Rubrum). Nick received the Diebold Scholar Award for an outstanding presentation of his thesis. In June of 2007, he graduated magna cum laude from Kalamazoo College with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts.

After college graduation, Nick has spent his time exploring every opportunity to become well versed in the field of landscaping. In the summer of 2007, he helped manage grounds at Pine Lake Country Club in West Bloomfield. During the fall of the same year Nick apprenticed with John Hollowell and Associates Landscaping in Ann Arbor, MI. Nick has spent much of the past four years.  He has taken many landscape design and horticulture courses at Oakland Community College.

Today, Nick is a Master’s Candidate at the University of Michigan Secondary Education program.  After he completes the Masters program, Nick intends to teach high school Biology and Chemistry while staying involved in Wasmer Bros. LLC as a manager, landscape designer and horticulture consultant.

Meet Tim:

tim-thTim Graduated from Farmington High school with high honors in 2006. During his high school career he was the place kicker for the football team, and was a four year varsity letter winner with soccer, swimming, and track, as well as captain of those three sports his senior year. Tim currently stays involved with the Farmington High soccer program as the head Junior Varsity soccer coach and the assistant Varsity coach.  He graduated in 2010 from Albion College with an Economics and Management degree and a minor in Spanish. At Albion he played soccer during the fall and is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. In addition to studying for an economics degree, he studied abroad for five months in Alcala de Henares, Spain the spring of his junior year. Now he is working towards his associates degree in landscape horticulture. He is also taking an accelerated certificate program in landscape design which he will have completed by May 2012.  Tim plans to use his education to further the development of Wasmer Bros., LLC.
